Description
The Government's "Get Britain Working" White Paper sets out the Government's intention to devolve funding for supported employment, including the Connect to Work Programme. This is a new DWP voluntary Supported Employment programme for those considered economically inactive and/or unemployed, who are disabled and/or have a substantive barrier to finding, accessing and maintaining employment due to their mental/physical health condition or lifestyle challenges. The programme embodies the Council's approach to Equalities and Levelling Up, delivering a long-term, sustainable change to key cohorts and places.
As the Accountable Body acting on behalf of the Essex County Council is intending to establish a lead provider through an open procedure to deliver IPS and SEQF employment support.
