two.2.4) Description of the procurement
Requirement 1 - Risley/Sellafield Bus Service
There is a requirement for Sellafield Ltd employees to travel between Hinton House,
Risley, Warrington, WA3 6GR and Sellafield, Seascale, Cumbria, CA20 1PG and vice versa. Currently this service is operated 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) with one coach travelling each way.
The service provider needs to be able to demonstrate their capability to increase the current service to potentially a maximum of 5 days per week, two coaches travelling each way.
Requirement 2 - Ad-hoc Car & Coach Service
Sellafield Ltd requires an ad hoc car, bus and coach service to complement our own Transport Department operations. The services must be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to support business requirements.
There is a requirement for a service to move personnel on-site, local to site and long distance journeys for company related passenger business. The services are to operate as per requests. This will include evening and weekend work.
The type of work covered may include, but is not be limited to the following:
• Airport drop off/pick-ups from home locations or work
• Train station drop off/pick-ups from home locations or work
• Transfers between hotels and site
• Guided site visits
• Transport to off-site training courses and events
• VIP Chauffer service
The successful tenderer must be able to cover both requirements 1 and 2.
The total value of this framework will depend on the Sellafield Ltd's requirements going forward over the next 4 years. The estimated framework value will be between £1,700,000 and £2,780,000. This will depend on if the Risley to Sellafield Bus Service will be moved from a 3 day week to a 5 day week.
