Description

The Addiction Healthcare Goals (AHG) programme, led by the Office for Life Sciences, is aiming to make the UK a place where researchers and industry in addiction healthcare can thrive and partner effectively with NHS and Third Sector treatment providers to design, research and deploy innovative treatments and technologies which effectively tackle the challenges of drug and alcohol addictions, saving and improving the lives of those affected, and reducing the harms to the individual, their family and friends, and wider society. One key area of focus for the AHG programme to fulfil this aim is to grow UK-wide research leadership capacity to develop and deploy innovations. The Department is looking for a supplier that is able to administer a targeted research leadership career development scheme to award funding to individuals to commence or continue training and career development towards becoming national research leaders.

Engagement process description

The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) is seeking a supplier to administer a career development scheme to award funding to support research training and career development positions, including relevant post-doctoral roles, PhDs, and MScs conducted with a suitable UK institution. This is not a call for competition, but an opportunity to gather feedback to better understand market capabilities, refine the procurement strategy, and encourage supplier engagement. Interested parties can access the relevant documents via the Atamis system at https://health-family.force.com/s/Welcome using the contract reference. Suppliers may also submit the completed questionnaire through Atamis but must be registered on the system to do so. Alternatively, questionnaires can be submitted by email to ccsinbox@dhsc.gov.uk, quoting "AHG - Flagship Research Leadership Scheme Administration"
