It fulfils a NATO commitment to provide a WWGC capability and will be operated by the Royal Engineers as part of a Multi-National Bridging Battalion based in Minden, DEU. Project TRITON will build upon the high level of interoperability enjoyed now, at the DEU / UK Amphibious Engineer Battalion (Amph Engr Bn) in Minden with M3 Amphibious Rigs.
In support of the drive for commonality and interoperability for the WWGCC beyond 2027, Project TRITON has coordinated its efforts to date on a joint basis with Germany (DEU). DEU and UK have broadly aligned timelines to replace their current WWGCC. The history of collaboration and interoperability between the nations has also led to significant alignment of their requirements. The Authority now has approval to work bi-laterally with DEU to procure an amphibious WWGCC. It is the Authority’s expectation to place a Contract through a Delivery Agent on behalf of DEU and UK Authorities.

This will be a non-competitive, information gathering exercise, where interested parties are invited to respond to based on providing the whole capability.
The Industry Event is expected to be conducted via MS Teams on 6th October 2021. Thereafter, a formal Request for Information in the form of a questionnaire will be released.
To register your initial interest in the Industry Event you are requested to register through the following routes:
1. Contact via e-mail Daisy.wallis106@mod.gov.uk and Cathy.bryant104@mod.gov.uk

Should the Authority run a competition for this requirement then participants will be selected via the Delivery Agent’s Procedures (e.g. Pre-Qualification Questionnaires).
