• Geological Disposal Facility Programme (GDF Programme): Site characterisation activities to enable the Geological Disposal Facility (GDF), including the drilling of deep boreholes to characterise potential geology to hosft a GDF, which falls within the definition of a “nationally significant infrastructure project”.
• Near Surface Disposal Programme (NSD Programme): Near Surface Disposal activities.
• Ongoing operation and development of the licenced Low Level Waste Repository at Drigg, including capping of vaults.

The Framework Agreements will support legal activities associated with the Geological Disposal Facility (GDF) programme (primarily deep geological boreholes), delivery of a Near Surface Disposal (NSD) facility, and development and operations at the Low Level Waste Repository (LLWR) site. In addition, Framework Suppliers may also be asked to deliver or support legal work for Other Contracting Authorities where they have capability in the Competencies and those Competencies are required to deliver the Other Contracting Authorities requirements.
