Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) are seeking to procure a Contractor to successfully deliver a NHS Wales Graduate Programme.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

HEIW is seeking to commission a NHS Wales Graduate Programme over a 2-year period which will assist participants in developing an understanding of compassionate & collective leadership, effective management as well as increasing capacity to effect service improvement. The programme will offer a range of organisational clinical and corporate placements creating a comprehensive understanding of strategy, purpose and core businesses of NHS Wales. A stakeholder event will be held 19th August 2022 at 10am until 1pm to seek views of potential Contractors to support this programme through the provision of a 2 year Masters level qualification. HEIW wish to ensure a wide range of provider stakeholders are represented at the event.

In line with Public Contract Regulations 2015, NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership (NWSSP), Procurement Services and HEIW wish to hold a pre-market engagement event prior to launching a procurement exercise for the commissioning of the NHS Wales Graduate Programme. As such, discussions will be held with potential contractors prior to starting a procurement exercise, the purpose being to both inform potential contractors and to allow NWSSP Procurement Services and HEIW to seek advice in the planning and enrolling of the the procurement exercise.

NWSSP Procurement Services and HEIW will run the Pre-market engagement event virtually via Microsoft Teams on Friday 19th August starting at 10am. Potential contractors will be provided with an insight into the requirement and given the opportunity to ask questions. In order to support define the requirement; following the presentation; potential contractors will have an opportunity to have a 1:1 with HEIW representatives (for a maximum of a 10 minute allocated slot).

Potential contractors should note that this pre-market engagement event, may not lead to a formal procurement and/or award of any contracts. Further, that any information provided by potential bidders during this event, may be used by HEIW to help scope the proposed procurement and may also be shared widely with other potential bidders/contractors. Accordingly, potential bidders are advised not to share any confidential information and/or information they would not wish to be shared more widely. HEIW accepts no liability for any costs incurred by bidders as a result of attending the engagement event.
