Haringey Council has redesigned its Strategic Partner Service and intends to commission a Capacity Building Partner for the Voluntary and Community sector, in partnership with North Central London Integrated Care System (ICS).

The Council is keen to engage providers in shaping the new service and is inviting potential providers to Market engagement Event to be held on;

The aim of this event is to consult with current and prospective providers on the new design of the service and how it will continue to support the VCS community in Haringey.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The Capacity Building Partner will drive forward change and embed new approaches, initiatives and support the delivery of councils and ICS's strategic priorities. This includes commitment to implementing a new, fair, equitable and transparent approach to working with the VCS, setting out a cross-cutting commitment to knowing our communities better and developing a strong civil society, that is resilient, cohesive and puts residents at the centre.

The successful organisation will commit to promoting equality by engaging and supporting specific communities and groups, with a focus on improving the health, wellbeing and life chances of local people through specific projects.

The Capacity Building Partner will support VCS organisations to achieve outcomes that enable them to be sustainable and economically viable, providing opportunities for the sector to maximise their skills, knowledge, resources and leverage grant funding. It will also facilitate and support the engagement, representations of grass roots, specialist VCS organisations ensuring the sector is adequately represented but not the sole voice by establishing mechanism for organisations to represent themselves locally and regionally.

As well as supporting VCS organisations with capacity building, the service has also been redesigned to include the following core service provision:

1. Navigation Network (NavNet): developing support systems to strengthen, support the VCS by connecting community navigators, local area coordinators and social prescribers, working across organisations in Haringey via the establishment of a community of practice administered via a WhatsApp Group, email, and meetings.

2. Volunteer Centre: to promote and support the development of volunteering in the London Borough of Haringey, delivering the strategic development of quality accredited volunteering across the borough.
