two.1.4) Short description

Derry City and Strabane District Council invite suppliers to tender for a PeacePlus Creating Creatives Project. This is a 2-year training and awareness programme in creative community development targeting young adults aged 15+ and adults. Arising from the co-design process in the Waterside DEA, the prime benefit and the main focus of recruitment and delivery should be within the Waterside area, although participants from beyond that area are also eligible to take part. The project will target 136 participants to deliver a series of cross border and cross community workshops in Creative Community Development which will be accredited, Creative Writing and Visual Arts, Cross border Arts and Health programme and also the formation of a Rock Choir with final showcase performances which adds an engaging element to the programme allowing participants to express themselves through music and collaborate with others. Using the Arts as a medium for exploration participants will gain a new skill set and celebrate their shared histories and find common ground for meaningful engagement.
