Wandsworth Borough Council seeks a suitably qualified provider to deliver an advocacy service for children and young people who are Looked After, Care Leavers, Children on Child Protection Plans, Children in Need and children formally detained as part of the Mental Health Act, as part of its strategic commitment to uphold the rights of children and young people. The contract will be for a period of three (3) years and subject to an extension period of up to an aggregate of two (2) years at the absolute discretion of the Council. The maximum contract price is £80,000 per annum.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Wandsworth Borough Council seeks a suitably qualified provider to deliver an advocacy service for children and young people who are Looked After, Care Leavers, Children on Child Protection Plans, Children in Need and children formally detained as part of the Mental Health Act, as part of its strategic commitment to uphold the rights of children and young people. The aim of the Advocacy Service will be to provide excellent advocacy to all of these groups, in an agile and adaptable way, providing child centred support as required and with the child’s voice central to the service. The contract will be for a period of three (3) years and subject to an extension of a period or periods of up to an aggregate of two (2) years at the absolute discretion of the Council. The new contract will commence from 1 January 2023. The maximum value of the contract is £400,000 over the proposed contract period (5 years) including the optional extension period, with a maximum annual value of £80,000 per annum.
