two.1.4) Short description

Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust (LSCFT) have been successful in bidding for transformation for transformation funding from NHS England that will see us develop new models of integrated community mental health care across Lancashire and South Cumbria.

In our bid we indicated we would spend a sizable proportion of this funding on the voluntary, community, social and faith enterprise sector (VCSFE), although the exact proportions varies across each locality area.

We are keen that this funding is used in such a way that complements existing third sector services; rather than duplicating or replacing existing provision.

LSCFT would like to hear from VCSFE organisations across Lancashire and South Cumbria about the best ways for us to mobilise this sector funding.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust (LSCFT) have been successful in bidding for transformation for transformation funding from NHS England that will see us develop new models of integrated community mental health care across Lancashire and South Cumbria.

In our bid we indicated we would spend a sizable proportion of this funding on the voluntary, community, social and faith enterprise sector (VCSFE), although the exact proportions varies across each locality area.

We are keen that this funding is used in such a way that complements existing third sector services; rather than duplicating or replacing existing provision.

The aim of the programme is to develop a new population- based model for mental health care in the community. This new model of care will redesign and reorganise the existing community mental health resource to form new community mental health hubs each of which will be aligned to the local GP Primary Care Networks (populations of 30,000- 50,000). The community mental health hubs will have blended teams of health, social care and VCFSE staff; working together, and with local communities, to improve mental and physical health.

LSCFT would like to hear from VCSFE organisations across Lancashire and South Cumbria about the best ways for us to mobilise this sector funding.

Specific areas that we are looking to develop with VCSFE include support for Refugees, Asylum Seekers, Community Connectors, Peer Support, BAME Support Workers and support for people with complex lifestyles.
