Swindon Academy is an all-through school for pupils aged 3-19 years across two sites in the Pinehurst & Penhill areas of Swindon. The main site is located in Pinehurst and is a modern building built-in 2009. The 2nd primary site in Penhill is a more traditional 1950s build that was refurbished in 2008. The academy has been independent of the local authority since gaining academy status in October 2009. The academy currently accommodates almost 2000 pupils & staff.Nova Hreod Academy has approximately 1,000 pupils in Years 7-11. The school is situated in purpose-built £25 million premises, benefiting from excellent, state-of-the-art facilities. Nova Hreod Academy is a PFI school.
