The Isle of Wight Council (IWC) in its role as Lead Local Flood Authority (LLFA) needs to update its Local Flood Risk Management Strategy (LFRMS) which sets out how the LLFA will manage flood risk in its area. IWC has an existing LFRMS which was published in 2016, with a scheduled review in 2021. The LFRMS will include an island wide action plan detailing actions that IWC can take across its area, whilst supporting environmental assessment screening will also be undertaken.
