This PIN is being issued in order to undertake a market consultation exercise with regards to this project, briefly detailed in Section 2. UKRI would like to invite suppliers to attend an engagement session in order to provide information regarding the project, the expected outcomes of the project, and to enable suppliers an opportunity to ask questions regarding the project and these expected outcomes. We request that attendance is restricted to key members of your organisation (a maximum of 2). For clarity, this PIN is not a Call for Competition. Not registering an interest shall not prevent any supplier participating in a future procurement, nor is it intended that any information supplied as part of the preliminary market consultation shall place any supplier at an advantage in any future potential procurement process.

UK Research & Innovation (UKRI) through the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) is planning significant investment in Research & Development (R&D) and Innovation infrastructure for the Creative Industries. “Infrastructure” in the context of this project means investing in the setup of new facilities and associated projects and programmes which we believe will make the most difference to the future of our target industrial sub-sectors.
The purpose of the UKRI’s investment in a new national-scale innovation infrastructure Convergent Screen Technologies And performance in Real-time (CoSTAR) is to help maintain and enhance the UK’s leading global position in the Creative Industries by identifying and taking opportunities associated with current and future waves of media and technology convergence, in the face of a rapidly changing international market.
