The Contract is being extended beyond the end date. Modification Notice 2021/S 122-324789 also details a modification to contract period and value.

BSO PaLS believes all criteria within Regulation 72(1)(c) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 are fulfilled regarding an extension to this Provision of Dynamic Pressure Area Care Products and Associated Services.
The ongoing ramifications of the Covid-19 pandemic could not have been foreseen, the Client is still managing severe pressures in the service areas that require the products and services associated with the Contract and therefore are in a position where they cannot currently facilitate a transition in Contractor, manage the swapping of mattresses and cushions within hospital and community settings or retrain staff who currently under severe pressures as a result of the Covid-19 Pandemic.
