The OPCC is seeking interest from service providers in a forthcoming procurement to appoint full time Trauma Informed Practitioners (TIPs) to patrol with police to help police embed Trauma Informed Policing.

We are seeking a single or multiple suppliers to deliver these services.

The TIPs will go out on patrol with police, observe interactions with members of the public, and provide feedback through reflective practice. TIPs will also review Body Worn Video footage and provide feedback. TIPs will support police in writing safeguarding forms in a trauma informed way. TIPs will work shifts which includes starting at 7am on 'earlies' and finishing at 11pm on 'lates', and 20% of TIPs support will be at the weekend. TIPs will be vetted to full Non Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV) which will be administered by Hampshire Constabulary.

TIPs will have proven recent frontline practice, a degree level in a relevant area or significant relevant professional practice experience and training in impact of trauma/trauma-informed practice.

TIPs will have Knowledge and Skills in the following areas:

• Children and young people/youth work

• Mental health

• Substance misuse

• Domestic Abuse

• Safeguarding responsibilities

• Trauma and Trauma-informed approaches

• Experience of multi-agency work, and knowledge of systems

The Provider will have at least one year of published accounts covering a twelve-month operating period. The accounts must show as 'received' on the Charity Commission website. The Provider will have their own bank account and must have safeguarding policies either for children/young people or vulnerable adults. The Provider must have adequate insurance coverage.

Interested parties should register their interest as indicated above in response to this PIN. The OPCC will not be bound by any of the contents of the PIN when going out to tender for this service provision.
