The Borough Council of Calderdale (the "Council") invites Tenderers who wish to be considered for the Educational Psychology Service (the "Service"). It is anticipated that the contract will commence 1st April 2022 for a period up to 31st March 2025 with an option to extend for two (2) further periods of twelve (12) months each. The service is to be delivered throughout the Borough of Calderdale.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement
The Borough Council of Calderdale (the "Council") invites Tenderers who wish to be considered for the Educational Psychology Service (the "Service"). It is anticipated that the contract will commence 1st April 2022 for a period up to 31st March 2025 with an option to extend for two (2) further periods of twelve (12) months each. The service is to be delivered throughout the Borough of Calderdale. The Service provided must ensure the Council meets its statutory duty in relation to the provision of psychological advice and information to inform Education, Health and Care Plans (EHC Plans), assessments and reviews. The Service will improve the educational outcomes, emotional well-being and personal development of children and young people aged 0-25 years through the application of psychology in providing assessments, advice, and recommendations. There will also be a requirement to allocate ten (10) days per annum for the Service to support the Council in various aspects of educational psychology work, such as support with dispute resolution, training, strategy, and practice supervision; this applies to both Council staff and external partners. The Service will meet the local authority's statutory duty for children and young people aged 0-25 years in early years settings, schools, academies, post-16 provision, educated at home, and youth offending services in Calderdale, who are referred by the Special Educational Needs Team (SEN Team). (see Service Specification).
