two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The Trust is looking for a single supplier to transfer clean medical equipment and return with dirty medical equipment multiple times a day to a single location

The Trust currently has a requirement for the sterile transfer of Clean & Dirty Surgical Instruments between Darenth Valley Hospital, Dartford and Queen Mary’s Hospital, Sidcup.

All used surgical instruments present a risk of infection. To minimise this risk, the instruments must be placed in closed, secure containers (Owned by the Trust) and transported to the decontamination area as soon as possible following use. Transport containers must protect both the product during transit and the handler from inadvertent contamination.
