two.1.4) Short description
Croydon Council is seeking to engage contractors for the provision of Croydon Best Start. Croydon Best Start is a partnership approach to deliver services for expectant parents and children under five and their families. Maternity, health visiting and speech and language services, Children’s Centres, early learning services, parenting teams, voluntary and community sector partners and council partners such as libraries and CALAT work together to provide services for very young families.
The service is split into two Lot’s:
Lot 1 - Child Development and School Readiness services (£1,162,533)
(3 Sub-Lots, 1 Sub-Lot for each locality [North, Central and South])
Tenderers bidding for Lot 1 may bid for one, two or all three Sub-Lot’s.
Lot 2 – Parent Aspirations and Parenting Skills services (£205,000)
(6 Sub-Lots for each service within the offer)
Tenderers bidding for Lot 2 may bid for one or more Sub-Lots.

This procurement will utilise the flexibility available by virtue of the Light Touch Regime and will be using an adapted open procedure to procure new services. The Contract value over the aggregated lifetime of the Contract is above the PCR 2015 threshold for Light Touch services (currently £663,540) and a Find a Tender Service (FTS) Contract Notice will be posted. The opportunity will be advertised on the London Tenders Portal, Contracts Finder and the Council’s website.
