The Trust has previously awarded a sub-threshold contract to support the Urgent Care Hub through the winder period at University Hospital Lewisham (UHL).

The Trust now requires the services for a longer period of time, whilst work us undertaken to review how it operates Urgent and Emergency care at UHL.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Extending the Trust's existing contract further would exceed the threshold for for 'Social and Other Specific Services' under Reg 74-77 of Public Contract Regulations.

The Trust thinks there is a limited market to provide these services for a further short term of up to 12 months, so is publishing this notice to test this whilst complying with the principles of equal treatment and transparency.

If there are suppliers who would be able to supply these services, then the Trust will reassess the options available for a competitive process for this interim arrangement.

The ten day period before a contract will be entered into ends at Midnight on 3rd August 2023.

It is envisaged that a contract will be structured to include a shorter initial term, and could be varied to up to 12 months based on demand.
