two.1.4) Short description

Essex County Council (ECC) have successfully entered all eight country parks into the Countryside Stewardship Scheme (CSS). This is a five-year scheme, with the aim of making further improvements to the ecological value of the parks through enhanced management. The scheme funds ongoing annual management, but also ‘one off’ capital payments which supports infrastructure improvements.

ECC is seeking an expert contractor/s that can deliver these capital works to the very highest standards, ensuring ECC is compliant and therefore able to receive grant funding as budgeted and achieve the improved ecological enhancements. The works include forestry trackways, fencing and water supply.

The tender is split into 2 Lots:

Lot 1 - Fencing, Water Supply and Livestock Handling Infrastructure

Lot 2 - Forestry Trackway Infrastructure

ECC is seeking an expert contractor/s that can deliver these capital works to the very highest standards and within the timescales specified, ensuring ECC is compliant and therefore able to receive grant funding as budgeted.

The tender is split into 2 Lots:

Lot 1 - Fencing, Water Supply and Livestock Handling Infrastructure - all works to be completed according to the timeline set out in the tender documents and by December 2025.

Lot 2 - Forestry Trackway Infrastructure - all works to be completed by January 2025

Bidders proposing to submit tenders are invited to visit the sites and must request an appointment via the messaging facility in https://procontract.due-north.com/Login. Site visits will take place between 9.30 and 16:00 from 16th to 30th July 2024. When booking an appointment please advise the preferred date and time and the Authority will respond to confirm your booking.
