STEP have recently completed a key delivery milestone (CML 3.5). A range of options have been considered and down selected to a direction of travel with respect to the STEP Power Plant design. A number of key decisions remain to be made; however a preferred concept is taking shape and is now being developed. The next major milestone is the completion of STEP Tranche 1 and CML 5 by March 31st 2024.

While UKAEA and the STEP programme are fusion technology specialists, we require a collaborative and experienced engineering delivery partner to ensure the successful completion of Tranche 1 and CML

The authority will incorporate a minimum 10 calendar day standstill period at the point information on the award of the contract is communicated to tenderers.

This period allows unsuccessful tenderers to seek further debriefing from the authority before a contract is entered into applicants have 2 working days from the notification of the award decision to request. Additional debriefing and that information have to be provided within a minimum of 3 working days before the expiry of the standstill period. Such additional information should be sought from the contact named in this notice.
