The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, hosted by Velindre NHS Trust are acting on behalf of

Cardiff and Vale University Local Health Board who are seeking to establish a contract for purchase of 5 tugs and a flat bed

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

NHS Wales Shared Service Partnership on behalf Cardiff and Vale University Health Board wishes to

purchase 5 electric tug vehicles and 1 with a flat bed.

The supplier is able to tender for any make or model, but the vehicle must have a maximum cab height of

1920mm, a tow capacity of 8,000kg, a payload capacity of 200kgs and a 2 year warranty.

The vehicles will need to be delivered to the following address as soon as practically possible: University

Hospital of Wales, Cardiff and Vale NHS, Waste Management and Facilities, Dental Drive, Heath Park,

Cardiff, CF144 XW.

The tugs will be used to transport wheeled bins around the hospital sites from the point of waste production to the collection point, as well as transporting tug cages around the site.
