two.1.4) Short description

MoJ, working in collaboration with the HM Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) and HM Courts and Tribunal Service (HMCTS), is in the early stages of a project which will deliver the next generation contracts for the supply of Control & Restraint Personal Protection Equipment for local and advanced trained staff operating across the secure estate.

As part of this project, we are looking to gather more intelligence about the current market, how it operates, what it supplies and the available scope of innovation/product development.

As part of this early work, we will:

- Provide an overview of the potential scope of contracts via an online meeting

- Be holding a Supplier event day where interested suppliers will provide HMPPS staff an opportunity to view supplier offerings and try relevant equipment, to inform our requirements.

- Completing a market intelligence gathering exercise via a survey (which also forms the registration for the supplier event. The Registration process requires the submission of accreditations for certain products and without these involvement in this market engagement will be precluded)

- Depending on the output from the event and intelligence gathering further engagement may occur including 1-2-1 discussions.

To express an interest in this market engagement and receive further information please email CandR@justice.gov.uk

The date of the supplier event is 29th September 2022
