Hampshire County Council (The Authority) is looking to appoint a single supplier on to a framework. The appointed supplier will conduct specialist testing of electrical consumer products.

Where the requirement of the Office of Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) or Local Authority clients are unable to be met in house Hampshire Scientific Service (HSS) are required to subcontract the work to a suitably qualified and approved third-party testing lab (subcontractor). 

The subcontractor is required to undertake product assessment of a wide range of machinery and electrical consumer items with the aim being to ensure that the product is of a suitable build quality and has adequate overall safety, referring to the relevant Regulations and test standards. This includes complaint and fault investigation work, and screening checks.
