two.2.4) Description of the procurement
HEE, in partnership with NHS England (NHSE) is seeking to engage education and training providers to deliver clinical skills training to community pharmacists (for definition of scope, see specification).
10,000 module places, delivered as facilitated sessions, with a pre-requisite gateway module (see 4.1 of the specification) capable of being accessed by a maximum of 10,000 users, are required to be delivered by 31 March 2024.
The Supplier will demonstrate how their training delivery model enables the pharmacist to receive adequate support to achieve the learning outcomes (see specification). The Supplier should include the use of other healthcare professional colleagues, medical actors and educators for the clinical skills requirements as required.
The Supplier is encouraged to use multi-professional facilitators and should ensure all training facilitators are appropriately trained and demonstrably able to deliver the described training. The design and use of facilitator handbooks or guides would be encouraged.
The Supplier must provide each learner with a certificate of completion which can be used within the pharmacists’ portfolio to provide evidence of achievement.
For the purposes of this contract, eligible community pharmacists will be defined as: community pharmacists who are working to support the delivery of NHS funded services, including locum pharmacists and part time workers.
The contract will be awarded with an end date of 31 March 2024. There is an expectation that mobilisation will commence from November 2022, and delivery of the modules should be available from December 2022. Modules should be available throughout the contract period, with rolling start dates until end March 2024.
