Birmingham Women and Children's NHS Foundation Trust, as Lead Provider of the West Midlands CAMHS Provider Collaborative (WMCPC) (https://toucanwestmids.nhs.uk/), commissioned an Admission and Triage Unit (ATU) for children and young people within the West Midlands (aged 13-18) who require intensive mental health support and a brief admission for assessment if required.

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) confirmation of contract award notice. This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. This contract has now been formally awarded using the Most Suitable Provider Process.As a result of this Most Suitable Provider Process, a contract has been awarded to the successful Provider for a period 2 years (expiring on 31st March 2027).The contract was formally awarded on 9th April 2025.It is anticipated that the service provision resulting from this Process will have a lifetime value of the contract is £4,000,000.The award decision-makers are the WMCPC. The decision to award the contract was made by the Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust's Chief Finance Officer. There were no declared or potential conflicts of interest of individuals making the award decision.
