seven.2.1) Description of the modifications

Nature and extent of the modifications (with indication of possible earlier changes to the contract):

The parties have agreed a modification of the existing contract by way of a 3 month extension from 1/09/2021 until 30/11/2021 to allow the current contractual arrangements to remain in place to allow for a new procurement exercise to be completed.

Need for modification brought about by circumstances which a diligent contracting authority/entity could not foresee.

Description of the circumstances which rendered the modification necessary and explanation of the unforeseen nature of these circumstances:

The impact of the global COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in an unprecedented demand on Commercial Procurement

Services (CPS) which could not have been reasonably foreseen by EANI. This modification extending the contract for 3 months is required to allow for an effective procurement exercise and the award of a robust contract fully compliant with the Public Contract Regulations
