NCL ICB wishes to continue to commission the Direct Access / Patient Choice Elective Care services from its local independent Sector Hospital Providers within North Central London as part of its extended choice agenda to ensure that the ICB is:
• Providing sufficient local capacity and choice to their registered NCL population,
• Meet the broader requirements of the national patient choice agenda,
• Demonstrate responsiveness to patient demand and feedback.
The Direct Access / Patient Choice Elective Care services will be at specified locations within North Central London. One contract covering Cavell, Hendon & Kings Oak Hospitals with Circle Health Group and one contact covering Highgate Hospital with Nuffield Healthcare. Each contract will be for 3 years with option to extend by a further 2 years.
