The Health Board intends to imminently issue notices for the following separate packages of works to form a surgical Orthopaedic centre at Llandudno General Hospital -
The works will commence in November 2023 and be complete by September 2024 with separate programmes for the packages of work running in parallel. Interested contractors with wide experience of working on a live hospital site on works of this type and with the required levels of expertise to complete these works are invited to visit the Llandudno Hospital site on the afternoon of Monday 24th, on Tuesday 25th or Wednesday 26th. two.2.4) Description of the procurement
The Health Board intends to imminently issue notices for the following separate packages of works to form a surgical Orthopaedic centre at Llandudno General Hospital -
Package 1.
Enabling works including electrical infrastructure works, any minor works relating to decant arrangements, demolition and site clearance, formation of some additional car parking areas along with medical gas infrastructure to provide ongoing provision for the existing theatres
Package 2
Construction of a sub-structure and super-structure ‘shell’ for 2 orthopaedic theatres and a recovery area along with some related mechanical and electrical works, fixtures, fittings and finishes to all areas other than the 2 theatres. A specialist theatre fit out contractor will be separately contracted.
Package 3.
Refurbishment and extension of radiology along with the specialist enabling works related to the x-ray systems and relocation of a mammography room
Package 4.
Refurbishment of a ward including formation of 4 bed ensuite bays and touch down nurse bases along with adaptations and minor works to mechanical and electrical services
The works will commence in November 2023 and be complete by September 2024 with separate programmes for the packages of work running in parallel. Architectural as built and proposed layout drawings only will be shared at this point prior to tender issue. The tenders will be evaluated on the basis of a score out of 40% for technical question responses and out of 60% for the commercial return.
