The City of Doncaster Council ( “the council”) has a requirement for the provision of a highly professional Toxicology, Microbiology, Virology, Immunology and associated Laboratory Testing Service. The Service Provider will be required to analyse tissue and body fluids obtained during autopsy examination for the detection of substances, and assist the Coroner to investigate sudden unexpected deaths within their area of remit, in accordance with the Coroners and Justice Act 2009.
The council is looking to contract with either a sole tender or multiple suppliers for the two lots.
It is anticipated that the contract will commence on 1st November 2023 and run for a period of 3 years until 31st October 2026. There is also an option to extend the contract on no more than 2 (two) occasions for up to 24 (twenty four) months on each occasion (3+2+2)
