The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) Project Team within Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) is preparing to initiate a competitive procurement process to award a contract for the Battle of Britain Memorial Integrated Support Arrangement Programme - Engines (BISAP Engines).
BISAP - Engines will deliver an efficient and effective, long-term solution for support to all engine types and Mks for the BBMF aircraft over the next 5 + 5 years (10 years).

two.2.4) Description of the procurement
The Authority's scope of requirement for BISAP Engines includes:- Refurbishment, Reconditioning, Repair, Maintenance, Design, Production, Modification, Engineering and Technical Support; including the capability to design and manufacture parts for all engine types and associated components and ancillaries, which includes BBMF Rolls Royce Merlin (Mk’s 35, 266 and 500), BBMF Griffon RG30-SMS; BBMF Pratt & Whitney Twin Wasp R-1830-90D and BBMF Gipsy Major Mk8 engines supporting BBMF aircraft (all Mk’s).
The Contractor supporting the BBMF Engines will be required to hold as a minimum the appropriate CAA BCAR A8 Design, Production and Maintenance approvals for the full scope of engines, components and ancillaries at Contract award and will be required to gain approval from the Military Aviation Authority (MAA) under their DAOS (Design) and MAOS (Maintenance) Schemes during the initial 24 month period from contract award.
