The provision of scenes of crime consumables under a national framework. The framework is available to use nationally by any public sector bodies in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland, including primarily the Police and Emergency services and law enforcement agencies, and central government departments. The supply of these products is of paramount importance, some of which are business critical for forensic analysis and evidence collection.

seven.2) Information about modifications

seven.2.1) Description of the modifications

Nature and extent of the modifications (with indication of possible earlier changes to the contract):

The National Framework Agreement for the Supply of Scenes of Crime Consumables awarded by West Mercia Police Procurement Department in June 2020 was Novated to Bluelight Commercial in June 2023.

Bluelight Commercial have extended the National Framework Agreement for the Supply of Scenes of Crime Consumables for a further and final twelve (12) months in accordance with the extension terms in the original framework.

seven.2.2) Reasons for modification

Need for additional works, services or supplies by the original contractor/concessionaire.

Description of the economic or technical reasons and the inconvenience or duplication of cost preventing a change of contractor:

Ownership of the NSOCC Framework has been novated to Bluelight Commercial.

Bluelight Commercial are extending this framework agreement in accordance with the permitted extension provisions for a further and final twelve (12) months. This will bring the expiry date of the Framework to 30 June 2024.

Upon expiry of the current Framework, Bluelight Commercial intend to run a competitive tendering process for a replacement National commercial solution. For further information please see prior information notice, reference; 2023/S 000-015619
