Post Office is looking to replace it's self service kiosks in branches with modern, modular technologies and would like to discuss with suppliers their options around this.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Post Office is looking at using the Restricted Procedure in Autumn 2022 to award a contract.

The contract will cover the replacement of around 600 self service kiosks currently in operation and possible expansion of this offering into new branches.

Post Office is interested in a modular solution that can adapt to different settings and use cases.

The contract will include support and maintenance of the kiosks for a period of at least 5 years.

The contract is likely to involve the provision of EPOS software for the terminals but this must integrate with Post Offices product journey engines and other systems.

six.3) Additional information

The Post Office Limited (POL) intends to conduct a virtual Pre-Market Engagement on the 12th August with follow up meetings on the 17th August and wishes to invite potential suppliers to participate.

For Suppliers who wish to participate and attend the Pre-Market Tender Engagement should respond to rob.whitehead@postoffice.co.uk and ensure they are registered in advance on Post Offices procurement portal which can be done, at no cost, using the following link: https://postoffice.wax-live.com/S2C/ .

Suppliers will be asked to complete a Non-disclosure Agreement and existing Post Office suppliers may need to complete an Ethical Walls Agreement in order to participate.

This prior information notice (PIN) is to alert potential suppliers to the Pre-Market Engagement and to the future opportunity.

It is anticipated that the contract notice along with the ITT will be published in the autumn of 2022, in response to which potential suppliers can express interest and submit initial tenders.

This PIN does not constitute a call for competition to procure any services, supplies or worksmentioned in this PIN and POL will not accept any proposals offered in response to this PIN.
