This is a Prior Information Notice published by the Procurement and Logistics Service (PaLS), Business Services Organisation (BSO) on behalf of Health and Social Care Northern Ireland (HSCNI) to seek engagement with the marketplace as PaLS are recommencing work for a regional tender for a Point of Care Testing Benchtop Blood Gas Analysis end to end solution for the five main hospital Trusts.

This is a Prior Information Notice published by the Procurement and Logistics Service (PaLS), Business Services Organisation (BSO) on behalf of Health and Social Care Northern Ireland (HSCNI) to seek engagement with the marketplace as PaLS are recommencing work for a regional tender for a Point of Care Testing Benchtop Blood Gas Analysis end to end solution for the five main hospital Trusts.

Due to a work being completed on a previous tendering exercise and also the Covid-19 pandemic there has been no engagement with the marketplace since 2018. In light of market changes, we would like to invite potential suppliers to engage with HSCNI and present their position in a Product Awareness Session in order to inform POCT professionals of any changes and/or developments in the delivery of Blood Gas analysis.

The objectives of the Product Awareness Sessions are to: -

• Gain insight on the market possibilities and potential innovative solutions.

• Gain a better understanding of the feasibility of the HSCNI requirements and the most appropriate procurement approach to follow.

• Gain initial supplier interest in supply and delivery / provision of Blood Gas Analysis.

• Establish how market ready suppliers currently are.

• Ascertain how suppliers can assist the HSCNI to ensure Health and Safety Standards are met and to ensure compliance with all relevant and future legislation.

• Understand risks and potential issues relating to supply and delivery of Blood Gas Analysis.

two.2.14) Additional information

The Product Awareness Sessions will be an opportunity for suppliers to present to a panel of Point of Care Professionals. The presentation will be scheduled to last approximately 45 minutes per presenting supplier and will be required to: . 1). Provide a physical and practical working demonstration of their current 'Point of Care Testing Benchtop Blood Gas Analysis Solution', . 2). To provide a demonstration and an oral overview of their software system to attendees, . 3). To be available to respond to questions or clarifications from attendees following demonstration and presentation covering all aspects of system functionality, connectivity, installation, commissioning, training and after sales servicing. . The overall purpose of the session will be to update, educate and inform attendees of what is currently available in the marketplace and to assist on potential functional characteristics which could form part of the future Tender specification. . Your participation in any future Tender is in no way connected to or dependent upon your attendance at this Product Awareness Session. Product Awareness Session is scheduled to take place in person at PaLS, Supplies Centre, Gransha Hospital, Derry, BT47 6YZ, on Wednesday 7th or Thursday 8th September 2022. . Specific appointment times will be communicated to each supplier following the closing date of this Declaration of Interest. Only those companies, who can confirm their ability to provide, demonstrate and support 'Point of Care Testing Benchtop Blood Gas Analysis Solution ' will be invited to attend the Product Awareness Session. . What you need to do now: . 1). Request a copy of Declaration of Interest proforma from palsgransha.sourcing@hscni.net, . 2). Complete the Declaration of Interest form, . 3). Submit your completed Declaration of Interest form by emailing palsgransha.sourcing@hscni.net before the deadline at 15:00 on 19th August 2022,. 4). Suppliers will be required to attend on Monday 5th or Tuesday 6th September to set up their solution to ensure that their Product Awareness Session runs smoothly without any disruption.. 5). Ensure that you will be available to attend on Wednesday 7th or Thursday 8th September and be able to present your solution to the Point of Care Professionals..
