two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Associated British Ports (ABP) require a supplier to provide drug and alcohol testing services to all Associated office and port locations, together with service management, professional advice and support services.The drug and alcohol testing service fits into ABP’s larger, overall strategy for ensuring health and safety. The successful tenderer will support the overarching objectives set out below and meet the specific aims and deliverables which follow: Service Objectives• Provide a flexible UK wide industry leading drug and alcohol testing service solution which meets the needs of ABP in ensuring the ABP environments are safe places for people to work and spend time. The service much be available 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. In addition to ABP’s own employees the service will extend to third-party organisations such as consultants, secondees, contractors and agency workers • Provide suitably qualified and experienced drug and alcohol testing providers, for, random testing and, post incident or for-cause testing using the ‘best of breed’ testing technology/devices available. • To promote drug and alcohol awareness to all workers (including ABP employees, consultants, secondees, contractors and agency workers) and provide bespoke training to ABP staff as appropriate.• To encourage workers to self-disclose prior to testing if they consider they may have an alcohol, drug, medication or substance related dependency problem. • Provide instant, accurate and legally defensible data to support ABP in the implementation of disciplinary action as appropriate where employees are found to be in breach of the policy and company limit. • Ensure data is provided securely and in compliance with GDPR legislation.• Provide regular dashboards and management data to assist ABP in ensuring the safety of its ports and office environment and meeting the requirements of its drug and alcohol policy statement.• Provide all services to meet the requirements of ABP’s drug and alcohol testing procedure.
