Pectus surgery is recommended to be available as a routine commissioning treatment option for patients of all ages with pectus excavatum resulting in very severe physiological symptoms. NHS England has carefully reviewed the evidence to treat PE in patients with very severe physiological symptoms with pectus surgery and are now seeking to commission a centre to treat adults and children. Given the configuration of providers in the North of England, the Commissioner welcomes joint bids that span adult and paediatric services or bids led by either (a) an adult provider that describes how paediatric input to the service will be secured or (b) a paediatric provider that describes how adult input to the service will be secured. The duration of this contract will be for a period of 3 years with the Commissioner having the option to extend the Contract for up to a further 2 years. Providers wishing to be considered for the delivery of these services will need to respond to the provider selection documentation and submit responses prior to the deadline stated in this notice. The ITT documentation including a questionnaire is available through the Atamis (Health Family) portal: https://health-family.force.com/s/Welcome. The reference is C191433 and the closing date for completed ITT responses is 12pm, midday on Tuesday 22nd August 2023.
