It is mandated in government legislation that National Security Vetting is applied to those appropriate persons. The only supplier of the process is United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and all nuclear industry vetting is managed through the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) as the Nuclear Industry Regulator.
This is mandated in Government Legislation and the ONR are the Vetting Authority and Regulator for the Nuclear Industry as designated in the NISR 2003.
Approved under Schedule 5 No:5 (a+b) single supplier justification, under PA2023 and Public Procurement Regulations 2024.
