The Environment Agency requires a Supplier to provide Central Management and Co-Ordination Services for the expansion of the AURN network by circa ~86 Air Quality Monitoring sites monitoring Particulate Matter of 2.5 microns (PM2.5), across England only.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Management of the initial 86 PM2.5 Expansion sites. Set up of data acquisition and validation of data from these sites prior to forward sharing of data to a separate Data Dissemination Unit (DDU) and Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QAQC) suppliers. The data will need to be disseminated in ‘real time’ on an hourly basis. The Supplier will also be required to undertake management of Environment Agency assets, communication, appointment and management of on-site local site operators, equipment support units for smooth operation and health and safety management for the safe running of the network.

two.2.14) Additional information

The contract would be for an initial period of 3 years with an option to extend at the discretion of the Authority for a further 2 X 12 months. This notice is only to inform the market of the upcoming opportunity and enable work planning. There is no requirement to register at this stage. We intend to issue the opportunity in Autumn 2023.
