two.2.4) Description of the procurement

NHS Derby & Derbyshire Integrated Care Board are seeking to commission Cataract Surgery Services. NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU (AGCSU) is acting as an agent for and on behalf of the Commissioner and is supporting the procurement process.

The service is a Schedule 3 Service and is being procured under the Light Touch Regime (LTR) of the Public Contract Regulations 2015. The process is a one stage process similar to an Open process.

The contracts will commence 01st November 2023 and be for a period of 17 months with an option to extend for up to a further 12 months. All contracts are zero value, zero activity guaranteed. All providers who meet a quality threshold will be awarded a contract.
