Midlands & Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit (ML CSU) on behalf of the Commissioners, NHS Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland Integrated Care System (LLR ICS) and NHS Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland Integrated Care Board (LLR ICB), would like to invite providers to attend a ‘Market Engagement Event’ which will inform the market of the Commissioners’ intentions to procure their Patient Transport Services (PTS), to include Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service (NEPTS), Renal Dialysis Transport and High Dependency/Blue Light Transport/Bariatric/End of Life Transport.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The aim of the services is to deliver high quality, dignified and safe patient transport to specific cohorts of patients, ensuring all eligible patients are able to travel in a timely manner, without adverse impact on their medical condition.

The main benefits and expected outcomes are:

person-centred and providers will need to be committed to the ‘personalization’ of the whole service(s) from the point of first contact when the booking is made, through to pick-up, relationship of the driver with the patient and escort (if applicable),

journey to the destination, supporting the patient in preparation for their transport and arrival at home or nominated place of residence or other healthcare setting.

The Market Engagement Event will take place in the afternoon of Monday 8th August 2022 from 2pm-4pm on MS Teams (invite link will be sent after registration).

The Market Engagement Event will provide:

• an overview of the service to be provided

• details of the anticipated contract type, length and particular conditions

• the structure of the new pathway for patient transport services in LLR

• an overview of the procurement process and anticipated timelines

• an opportunity for you to ask questions and feedback on the presentations.
