The current contract is for the provision of a national Launder only service of FSA garments from FSA Approved Meat Establishments (Slaughterhouses) with some home collections for Dairy Inspectors in England and Wales.
This contract will expire on 30 March 2025 and includes up to 750 collections/deliveries of garments per month, with over 10,000 garments in circulation.

The services required are:
Collection of dirty garments from FSA Approved Establishments on agreed day.
Laundering of garments to the required standards (EN ISO 14001, EN ISO14065 and EN ISO9001 as well as regular Risk Analysis Bio-contamination Control (RABC) testing and monitoring)
Delivery of clean garments to FSA approved establishments on agreed day
Repair of damaged Garments
Garment traceability throughout the process.
There will be a requirement for some flexibility in the future contracts, this may include delivering pilots, other commodities, and innovation in delivery.
two.2.14) Additional information
The Food Standards Agency reserves the right not to enter a formal procurement process and not proceed with any contract award. The purpose of this market engagement is to determine whether there is capacity and capability in the market to carry out these activities to the required throughput and quality and within the timescales indicated.
