Derry City and Strabane District Council invite suppliers to tender for PeacePlus Derg Future Festivals. This project is a cross-community cultural initiative with focus on creating capacity for programming new and future events in public spaces in the Castlederg area. It aims to regenerate and transform outdoor community spaces into increasingly shared spaces through programming. This project will be delivered in the Derg DEA. The successful tenderer will work collaboratively with local community organisations to augment existing capacity, develop local talent and put learning into practice at a range of existing and new festival events. The co-design process identified that it is important that local groups and participants have a sustained legacy of capacity building as a result of this project so that there is longer term benefit. The programme includes a series of creative arts opportunities for children and young people, performances, health and wellbeing festival and activities, and equipment purchase of PA Sound System. The PA asset must be retained within the local area for sustained community use after the project ends. Please refer to the CfT documents for further detail.
