The Department of Health and Social Care (‘The Authority’) is seeking information on your interest, capability and capacity to provide the services and feedback on the approach to talking therapies offer.
The purpose of the talking therapy programme will be to provide one-to-one sessions with an accredited therapist/counsellor, for an estimated 4,200 adult social care (ASC) workers accessing up to 10 sessions who are experiencing heightened mental health issues, for example anxiety, depression and burnout. The estimated budget for this service is £3.21m over 2.5 years.

The Authority is looking for a provider to provide an empathetic and non-judgemental space for adult social care workers to find answers to their own problems, process experiences and deal with conditions such as stress, anxiety, depression and trauma. We want to find a provider who can provide a range of talking therapies, which could include cognitive behavioural therapy, guided self-help, counselling, counselling for depression.
The Department of Health and Social Care (‘The Authority’) is seeking information on your interest, capability and capacity to provide the services and feedback on the approach to talking therapies offer.
This exercise is intended to provide suppliers with the opportunity to:
1. express their Interest; and
2. assist the Authority in drafting a Specification for the talking therapies service. This builds on a commitment to engage with the market, by sharing information and seeking input from the market providers/specialists to enable us to develop a requirement in a fair and transparent manner.
