two.1.4) Short description

Dementia Day Care to provide opportunities for meaningful day care activities to be delivered, including the provisions of suitable venues in Warrington with opportunities considered for activities to be also delivered in alternative locations and alternative non-traditional ways.

The service will support people with a diagnosis of dementia within Warrington improving their experiences and providing valuable respite for their carers.

The service will be devided in two Lots:

a) Lot 1 – covering Warrington North

b) Lot 2 – covering Warrington South

Bidders can bid for one or both lots. Initial contract will be for a period of 3 years, with the potential for a further 2 one year extensions.

Bidders are asked to provide bids to provide day care services which will initially be set at a maximum of 50 places in each Lot and increase incrementally for up to a maximum of 70 places per week, dependent on demand. The service will be delivered Monday to Friday, 52 weeks per year, excluding public holidays, for full and half day sessions.
