This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) notice of intention to follow the Most Suitable Provider Process. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. The intention is to award a contract using the most suitable provider process.
The service is an Urgent Access Hub in Reading. The aim of the service is to improve same day access in Berkshire West through the provision of a primary care-led service located at Royal Berkshire Hospital. The service will provide a seamless transition between in and out of hours services and treat patients directed to the service from multiple sources including NHS 111 services, referral from primary care, self-presenters and from the Emergency Department at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust. The level of clinical service provided will be comparable to the service received by patients attending general practice primary care settings.

The contract period will be 2 years. The total value of the contract is £3,600,000.00 (£1,800,000 per annum).
