Bangor University is seeking to appoint an external, specialist UKAS accredited Consultant as a single provider for the provision of Asbestos Management Services to include:

Asbestos consultancy and legislative updates

Project Management and development of cost/fee proposals

Asbestos surveying and inspection:

Condition Monitoring

Management Surveys

Refurbishment Surveys

Demolition Surveys

Bulk Sampling

Analytical Management

The successful consultancy must be accredited to:

ISO 17020 Asbestos Inspection Standard

Type and range of inspection: Management surveys, Refurbishment and Demolition surveys.

Inclusion in scope for Priority Risk Assessments and Re-inspection is mandatory.

ISO 17025 Asbestos Testing Standard

Materials tested: Asbestos fibres in air, asbestos fibres in bulk material inclusive of soils.

Range of measurement: Identification of: Amosite, Chrysotile, Crocidolite, Fibrous Actinolite, Fibrous Anthophyllite, Fibrous Tremolite

SEM Air Testing.

The successful consultant must be accredited to the following standards (or equivalent) by a UKAS accredited certification body:

ISO9001: Quality Management System

ISO 14001: Environmental Management System

ISO 45001: Occupational Health and Safety Management System
