two.1.4) Short description

There are a number of restraint training providers who only teach techniques in isolation. Coventry CC requires restrictive physical intervention within a framework of positive behaviour management and de-escalation and this is an ethos to which we subscribe as a local authority.

Coventry CC would like to hear from providers who offer training for local staff to become tutors. This means that Coventry staff, who have a good understanding of the schools' needs, are in a better position to tailor the training and ensure it is relevant,

We would like to hear from providers which do not rely on pain compliance for any of their techniques and are BILD and ICM accredited; have also been accredited by the CPD Certification Service and have won awards from the National Training Awards.
