two.1.4) Short description

To fulfil our obligations under the Care Act 2014, the Care Home Contract (FPS) relates to the delivery of residential care in care homes and care homes with nursing.

The procurement will be an open tender but will be operating as a Flexible Purchasing System (FPS) which is an open Pseudo-dynamic FPS agreement allowing providers to join the Pseudo-dynamic FPS agreement during the term of the agreement via rounds. Rounds will be opened at certain times during the term when there is a requirement of provision – minimum once a year.

The term of the Framework Agreement will be for seven (7) years with the option to extend for a further three (3) years. It is intended for the Framework Agreement to commence on 1 October 2023.
