The aspiration of the Mayor and her administration is for Newham children and young people to experience the richness of a vibrant and diverse enrichment offer. Through the Enrichment Programme Newham children and young people experience a broad range of cultural opportunities 'Making Newham the Best Place for Children and Families'. The School Music Grant opportunities are funded through the Enrichment Programme.
Music Enrichment is the largest part of the Enrichment Programme. Newham Council is funding School Music Grants to support schools to deliver a broad range of music enrichment opportunities for their pupils which focuses on participation, progression and sustainability.
Enrichment School Music Grants fund innovative, exciting, inclusive music enrichment activities delivered by schools.
Schools are invited annually to submit a School Music Grant application, they will need to demonstrate their proposal is value for money, meets the funding aims, objectives and criteria of the School Music Grants. Currently 97 Newham schools are receiving music grants and 25,000 Newham pupils are participating in Newham Enrichment funded music activities.
We are seeking an organisation to quality assure and evaluate impact of the School Music Grants and to provide additional support services.
