NHS Cheshire and Merseyside ICB Cheshire East Place have approved a modification to a contract that was awarded under the Public Contract Regulations 2015. The existing contract to deliver elective care Ophthalmology and Gastroenterology Services across Cheshire & Merseyside was placed on 1st April 2023 and expired 31st March 2025. This modification takes up the Contractual Option to Extend within the original contract and adds an additional one year to the contract term. As a result the modified expiry date is 31st March 2026.
The original contract was a zero based contract, however, the indicative annual spend of £1,825,833 has been included here.

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) contract modification notice, under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. This contract has now been formally modified.
On the 19th November 2024 the Cheshire & Merseyside Finance, Investments and Resource Committee approved this decision and one committee member noted a Conflict of Interest which was managed through the organisations COI process.
For the avoidance of any doubt, the original contract was placed on a zero value basis and the indicative annual spend has been stated within this Notice.
